I am a former archaeologist and financial broker who also has experience growing orchids. I have written several books on investing and cryptocurrencies, as well as a significant amount of web content on ethical and alternative investments.
I received my degree in Archaeology from University College London and have participated in excavations in Turkey, Bahrain, Cyprus, Israel, Spain, Portugal, and Germany.
Additionally, I helped establish one of the first ethical brokerages in the UK.
Yes, I have to admit that Nia is very much based on myself. But, as is an author’s privilege, she is maybe a tad smarter and better dressed!
But apart from that, we share many similarities: an ex-archaeologist, ex-financial broker, bookworm, something of a smart alec, a cryptocurrency trader, an avid collector of artifacts, art, and antiquarian books, a lover of nature …
I have never been in the Police Force, but, most of the places described in the book are based on my own experiences and visits. I was born in Cardiff, Wales and I love The Gower Peninsular in South Wales. Many childhood weekends were spent in Oxwich and Rhossili Bay and I have walked many sections of The Wales coastal path through Pembrokeshire as well as most of the European locations mentioned in the book.
